After June’s strong earthquakes, the Christian organisation Samaritan’s Purse opened an emergency field hospital in La Guaira and began treating patients, as well as distributing shelter, solar lights and water filters.
Christian Ebola treatment centres at the epicentre of the outbreak

Samaritan’s Purse set up two Ebola treatment centres in Bunia and Nyankunde, Democratic Republic of Congo, to care for patients and protect health workers during the outbreak.
Wycliffe Bible Translators announced that the complete Bible has reached its 800th language, with about 6.2 billion people able to read it in their own tongue. The first 400 languages took centuries; the next 400 took just 28 years.
Madrid’s evangelical churches organised a two-night evangelistic festival at the Palacio Vistalegre, attended by nearly 20,000 people. It was the first major event of its kind in Spain since Barcelona in 2015.

At the Easter Vigil on 4 April, the Catholic Church in France baptised about 13,200 adults and 8,100 teenagers, the highest figure ever recorded. Most of the newly baptised are young people aged 18 to 25, many with no prior religious background.

The Esperanza Lima event, organised with the city’s evangelical churches, drew about 41,000 people on Saturday and 48,500 on Sunday. Thousands came forward to commit their lives to Christ and were connected with local churches.
Thousands gathered in Ushuaia, Tierra del Fuego, for a historic evangelistic festival with a message of hope and God’s love, in partnership with local churches.
Record Bible sales in the UK, driven by young people

NielsenIQ data show UK Bible sales reached £6.3 million in 2025, up 19% on the previous year. Reports link the rise to growing interest among young people in faith and church attendance.
Industry analysts report that 2025 was the best year for Bible sales in the United States in two decades, 12% up on 2024 and double 2019, with notable interest from Gen Z.
The media tend to highlight the negative. Yet all over the world God keeps working through his Church: people being baptised, peoples receiving the Bible in their language, volunteers taking food and medicine to war zones, churches uniting in prayer. Paul wrote: “whatsoever things are true… whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things” (Philippians 4:8). These news items aim to encourage your faith and move you to pray and serve.

Good news in your own city
God is also at work where you live. Look for the good news around you: a church that feeds the hungry, a young person who came to faith, a family that was reconciled, a neighbour who was helped. Celebrate these signs of grace, give thanks for them and share them. Every act of love done in Jesus’ name is good news, even if it never appears in the headlines.
