A series that walks through the whole biblical story
“From Creation to Jesus” is a series of 34 episodes that travels through the Bible’s story from the first verse of Genesis to the life, death and resurrection of Jesus Christ. Each episode focuses on one or more figures —patriarchs, judges, kings, prophets and women of faith— and presents them in their historical and geographical context, with Bible quotations from the Reina-Valera 1909 and the King James Version. Each episode also includes a fact box with the passage, main figures, place and period; a summary; the places of the story with their present-day location; interesting facts; lessons for our lives; a section called “On the road to Jesus”, showing how that figure announces or foreshadows Christ; and a closing prayer.
The series is designed to be read in order, as one great story, but each episode can be read on its own. Every episode exceeds 1,500 words and is available in Spanish and English.

Why “From Creation to Jesus”?
After his resurrection, Jesus walked with two disciples towards Emmaus and, “beginning at Moses and all the prophets”, explained to them what the Scriptures said about him. That is the central idea of this series: the whole story of the Old Testament is a road leading to Jesus Christ. The promise made to Eve, Noah’s ark, the sacrifice of Isaac, Jacob’s ladder, the Passover lamb, Aaron’s priesthood, the name of Joshua, Ruth’s kinsman-redeemer, the eternal kingdom promised to David, Isaiah’s suffering Servant and Daniel’s Son of man all find their fulfilment in him.
The stages of the series
The beginnings (episodes 1 to 6): creation, Adam and Eve, Cain, Abel and Seth, Enoch, Noah and the flood, and the tower of Babel. The patriarchs (7 to 11): Abraham, Isaac, Jacob, Joseph and Job. The exodus and the conquest (12 to 14): Moses, Aaron and Miriam, and Joshua. The judges (15 and 16): Deborah, Gideon and Samson, and the story of Ruth. The monarchy (17 to 20): Samuel, Saul, David and Solomon. The prophets (21 to 28): Elijah, Elisha, Jonah, Hosea, Amos and Micah, Isaiah, Jeremiah, Ezekiel and Daniel. Exile and return (29 to 31): Esther, Ezra and Nehemiah, and Haggai, Zechariah and Malachi. The fulfilment (32 to 34): John the Baptist, Mary and Joseph, and Jesus Christ.
How to make the most of the series
Personal reading: read one episode a week, with your Bible open at the passages listed in the fact box. In 34 weeks you will have travelled through the whole biblical story. Small groups and Sunday school: each episode can serve as the basis for a study; the lessons and “On the road to Jesus” sections offer natural questions for discussion. Families: parents can read the episodes and retell the stories to their children in their own words. To place each figure in time, the series comes with a page of timeline and genealogy from Adam to Jesus. There you will find a table of approximate dates, places and the significance of each figure; the complete genealogy of Genesis 5 and 11, the line from Judah to David and the kings of Judah; the two genealogies of Jesus in Matthew and Luke; a visual family tree; and the biblical sources for each stretch.
A story with a purpose
The biblical story is not just an account of the past. It is the story of a God who did not abandon humanity after the fall, who called one man to bless all nations, who freed a people from slavery, who spoke through the prophets and who, when the time had come, sent his Son. That same story continues today, and everyone is invited to be part of it through faith in Jesus Christ. Our hope is that, at the end of the series, every reader can say with the disciples of Emmaus: “Did not our heart burn within us… while he opened to us the scriptures?” (Luke 24:32).

The series is based on the biblical text and on the general consensus of biblical history and archaeology. Where there are different interpretations or dates debated among scholars, we say so respectfully. Ancient dates are approximate. The approach is ecumenical: designed for believers of all Christian traditions and for anyone who wants to get to know the Bible.
