Who we are
Amen is a Christian, ecumenical and bilingual website dedicated to spreading the Word of God and the Gospel of Jesus Christ, our Saviour. It was born in Medellín, Colombia, with a simple purpose: to obey Jesus’ command to go and make disciples of all nations (Matthew 28:19-20), using the tools of the internet to bring hope to people of any country, language or tradition. Our motto, Soli Deo Gloria, “glory to God alone”, expresses the spirit of everything we publish: we do not seek fame or profit, but that God may be known and glorified.
The site is managed by GLOBALINSURANCEMALL (GIM), based in Medellín, Colombia, which is responsible for processing personal data under Colombian law. All content is free and may be shared freely for evangelism, citing the source, as explained in the Terms of use.
What we believe
We are an ecumenical site: we respect and value all Christian traditions —Catholic, Orthodox, Anglican, Protestant, evangelical and Pentecostal— and seek to present their differences with balance and charity. We are united by the common faith expressed since the early centuries in the Apostles’ Creed:
“I believe in God, the Father almighty, creator of heaven and earth. I believe in Jesus Christ, his only Son, our Lord, who was conceived by the Holy Spirit, born of the Virgin Mary, suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, died, and was buried; he descended to the dead. On the third day he rose again; he ascended into heaven, he is seated at the right hand of the Father, and he will come to judge the living and the dead. I believe in the Holy Spirit, the holy catholic Church, the communion of saints, the forgiveness of sins, the resurrection of the body, and the life everlasting. Amen.”
The Apostles’ Creed
We believe that the Bible is the inspired Word of God, that Jesus Christ is true God and true man, that he died for our sins and rose again, and that salvation is a gift of God’s grace received by faith. We believe that love for God and neighbour is the heart of the Christian life.

How we respond
We read every message carefully and prayerfully. We try to reply within a few days, although at times it may take longer. We do not offer medical, psychological or legal advice; if your situation requires it, we will encourage you to seek a professional. If you are in immediate danger, do not wait for our reply: call your country’s emergency number (in Colombia, 123) or go to someone you trust.
Your privacy
The data you send us is used only to answer your message and is not shared with third parties for commercial purposes. You can consult, update or request deletion of your data at any time, in accordance with Colombia’s Law 1581 of 2012 and our Privacy policy. Faithfulness to the Bible: everything we publish seeks to agree with the Word of God, and we quote Scripture accurately, always giving the reference. Christ at the centre: Jesus Christ is the centre of our message; every page wants to bring the reader closer to him. Love and respect: we write to build up, not to wound; we treat those who think differently and other Christian traditions with respect. Truth: we check news against reliable sources and always link to the original source; if we make a mistake, we correct it. Freely given: “freely ye have received, freely give” (Matthew 10:8); the content is free and we do not sell data or show misleading advertising. Excellence: we want to offer content that is well written, well designed and accessible, because God’s work deserves the best. Accessibility: the site is designed to be easy to read on phones, tablets and computers, and for people with different abilities.
Editorial criteria
Bible quotations come from the Reina-Valera 1909 in Spanish and the King James Version in English, both in the public domain. News items are chosen for their uplifting value and based on verifiable sources, which we link at the end of each item. On subjects where churches hold different positions, we present them in a balanced way without dismissing anyone. Articles on sensitive topics, such as addiction, abuse or exploitation, always include information on where to seek professional help. Ancient historical dates are approximate and, where scholars debate them, we say so.

We publish the list of our donors and the percentage of the budget each provides in Transparency.
